Dr. Kirsti A. Dyer MD, MS, FT is a physician, health educator, professor, online instructor, lecturer, author, and longtime online student. She received her medical and master's degrees from the University of California, Davis. 

Dr. Dyer has been interested in online learning and web education since developing the Journey of Hearts website www.journeyofhearts.org in 1997 as an online resource for the overlooked areas of grief and loss. 

Since having her daughters, her focus has shifted from clinical practice to health education and wellness promotion. She has presented at medical Internet and online teaching conferences. 

Dr. Dyer teaches several online courses for different institutions. She teaches the online college course she developed in nutrition for Columbia College and the online graduate course she developed in grief, loss and bereavement for Madonna University. She also teaches several courses for Kaplan University in their School of Health Science.
