Journey of Hearts is pleased to announce our new related website "Workplace Grief: Managing Grief and Loss in the Workplace"
created because Grief doesn't take a break when you go to work. On the site you will find information, articles, books and resources to help employees, co-workers and managers grieving a loss and those who work with those grieving a loss.
The Workplace Grief site is an extension of the Journey of Hearts™ website, a site devoted to anyone grieving a loss. This site contains information to help employees, co-workers and managers better understand the normal grief response. Grief, from all causes, has been found to cost the workplace more than $75.1 billion a year.*

In 2003 the Grief Recovery Institute published a study revealing the impact of grief on the workplace. All total impact of grief on employees at work caused by the death of loved ones or a close friend, divorce, family crises, financial losses, pet losses and other major life events total more than $75.1 billion.
